Back in 2004 I trained as a Hairdresser in Leamington Spa, where I first gained my qualifications. After that I worked for 3 years in a hair salon in Germany, where I built up experience in cutting, colouring and styling hair. Whilst working as a hairdresser, I also went to a make up school to train as a make-up artist. At the salon, I was able to use my hair and make up skills to do bridal hair and make up for weddings.
In 2009, I moved back to the UK and started work in Theatre where I dressed many wigs and hair into period and modern hair styles for different productions. I was lucky enough to work for various theatre companies including The Royal Shakespeare Company, Regents Park Open Air Theatre and The National Theatre in London.
In 2015, I decided to start working as a freelance hair and make up artist and worked on some film sets and TV shows, where I styled the hair and applied make up to the actors.
As great as some of my other past work experiences have been, I think that I get the most enjoyment from being involved in wedding hair and make up and ensuring that the bride looks their very best on their wedding day!
I only got married myself last year and so completely understand how important it is for the bride and her bridal party to be happy with their hair and make up and to also feel comfortable with the make up artist.
I take pride in having a professional approach and love to create a bespoke look for each bride using my creativity. I see myself as a perfectionist, who stays calm in every situation. Making each bride look beautiful for their special day gives me great pleasure!
I am currently using top quality products like MAC, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier for doing the make up and L’Oreal, Wella and Schwarzkopf as hair styling products.
